Paintings
I began painting around the year 2000, initially drawing inspiration from the works of Jackson Pollock. I enjoyed painting on canvases and wood panels laid on the floor without using brushes. Instead, I used stir sticks and other tools to drip and splash paint. I found the random patterns that emerged from this process fascinating, particularly when wet colors blended together. As my work evolved, I experimented with using paint containing a powdered metal base that would oxidize and rust when treated with an activator. By incorporating water mixed with rock salt, coffee, and other corrosive substances, I achieved textures reminiscent of heavily rusted surfaces. Eventually, I advanced to using water-based latex paint in various colors to further refine my drip paintings.
